Why Should I Learn Film Acting from BIA?
Obviously if you are serious about pursuing film acting as a career. Passion alone is not enough. Film acting is not just an artistic expression, but it is also a highly specialised craft that needs to be learnt, practised and constantly refined. Professional training that clearly differentiates it from theatre acting would help you clearly understand how to work truthfully in front of the camera, develop confidence, handle auditions, understand your own strengths and weaknesses, and prepare yourself for the challenges of establishing a career in a competitive industry.
Learning under experienced and eminent faculty gives you access to the knowledge, techniques and practical insights that can otherwise take years to acquire on your own. So, without proper training, you would shortly end up being disappinted and frustrated with failures. The teachets would help you understand not only the craft, but also the professional realities of the industry and how to navigate them. And as I told yesterday, the opportunities today are greater than ever because OTT platforms have dramatically expanded the scope for actors, creating a much wider range of characters and stories. Auditions and casting opportunities from across India can now be accessed from Kolkata itself. So, if you want to turn your interest in acting into a serious pursuit, learning the craft can give you the confidence, preparation and professional readiness to take that first step.
What will I get after learning Film Acting from BIA?
By the end of the course, you will have a strong understanding of the basics of film acting, learn the essential techniques, and know how and what to practise to continuously improve yourself.
The showreel created from the short film will give you your first professional platform to present yourself. The training will also build your confidence to face auditions with greater preparation and self-awareness. BIA will also facilitate campus interactions with directors, producers and production houses, giving you opportunities to meet industry professionals, understand the professional environment and, importantly, showcase yourself. But, all said and done, you have to remember that training is only the beginning of the joirney in any art form. Just like painting, singing, creative writing, music or dance, acting also demands continuous learning and practice. The aim of the course is to give you a sound professional foundation, confidence and discipline to keep developing your craft and, ultimately, establish yourself as a strong and accomplished performer.
